For the past four days, I have gone out well before dawn to shoot. It has been good for my skills and for my soul. The day job is becoming more and more repetitious and I find that I rise earlier and earlier to give myself to what I like best: seeing and photographing nature. On rainy days, I stay in and edit and study. On beautiful days, like last Friday, I shoot from half an hour before dawn until about half an hour afterwards, then scurry home to upload and see what I have. From Friday through Monday of this week, I have seen some incredible sunrises, shorebirds feeding like mad at Slaughter Beach, tidal flats at sunrise, fields of golden wheat, speckled with cornflowers, and some amazing herons. I am blessed and lucky to live in central Delaware.
